Ventilator Care

Mr. David Dawes was admitted to Envive Healthcare of Lawrenceburg after a hospital stay for respiratory failure, receiving a tracheotomy, and being placed on a ventilator. Mr. Dawes had an uphill battle when he arrived, but after working with the therapy and clinical team, he stated, “I have made great improvements since I got here. My overall well-being has improved. I didn’t see myself making this much progress. One day I am in bed, can’t talk, dependent on tube feedings and a ventilator. Then the next day I am breathing on my own, I’m up in a chair, feeding myself, exercising my legs, and having conversations with my wife.”

He is excited to eat real food and drink Coca-Cola again, and wants to keep getting stronger and one day walk again.

During the course of the stay, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy were initiated to efficiently and effectively identify Augustine’s unique needs and tailor specialized treatment plans to successfully transition to the next level of care. The therapy team provided skilled interventions to address the adaptation, compensation, and restoration potential, and coordinated with the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate clinical care areas were addressed. On April 04, 2022, Augustine Spangler successfully discharged to long-term care after a rehabilitation stay of 26 days.

The therapy team provided skilled interventions to address the adaptation, compensation, and restoration potential of Patricia Baker and coordinated with the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate clinical care areas were addressed. Her rehabilitation length of stay was 5 days and she was successfully discharged to home.

Melena Fillenwarth admitted to Envive Healthcare of Lawrenceburg on September 14, 2021 under the care of Dr. Arshdeep Tindni. During the course of the stay, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy were initiated to efficiently and effectively identify her unique needs and tailor specialized treatment plans to successfully transition to the next level of care. The therapy team provided skilled interventions to address the adaptation, compensation, and restoration potential, and coordinated with the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate clinical care areas were addressed. Ms. Fillenwarth successfully discharged to long-term care after 53 days.
